The T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up dates have been announced by the ICC. Australia will play the West Indies on May 30, while India will play Bangladesh on June 1. The games will be played in a number of locations in the USA and Trinidad & Tobago from May 27 to June 1.
Fans are welcome to attend the West Indies vs australia game at Trinidad & Tobago’s Queen’s Park Oval. The Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas; the Broward County Stadium in Broward County, Florida; and Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad & Tobago are the locations for the 16 warm-up matches.
With each team playing 20 overs, these warm-up matches will not be considered official T20 Internationals because each team may field every player in their 15-man squad. Teams may play two warm-up matches, unlike in prior cycles, based on when they arrive for the event.
The final practice match before the main event begins on June 3 will take place at an undisclosed site. The match between India and Bangladesh will take place on June 1.
The distinct situation has been brought about by the teams’ disparate arrival dates. Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ireland, and Afghanistan are among the Test-playing countries that have two warm-up matches arranged. Each of the West Indies and India has one. While Pakistan, England, and New Zealand will not play any warm-up matches prior to the World Cup, South Africa engaged in an intra-squad encounter.
