An important knock of unbeaten 150 by Tammy Beaumont, scripted England Women vs Ireland Women match into the record book as they stunned the latter and registering a record 275-run victory in ODIs. Beaumont made a splendid Ton in just 139 balls with 16 fours and one six which helped the team dominating the series by getting 2-0 lead. 1 over left in the game at Stormont.
In the match between England Women and Ireland Women, the English team’s bounty champion of Katherine Cross bowled an amazing spell of four overs with three wickets for eight runs leading to the worst score on ODI, 45. That was in response to Cross’ earlier shinning form with both the bat and the ball when England pulled out a four-wicket victory in the series’ first game.
Though not named in the T20 world cup squad for England, Beaumont and Cross lead a second-string England’s team. They were both left out of the tournament squad but both completely dominated this series during the England Women vs Ireland Women tour where the first team squad are preparing for the World Cup in the UAE.
Beaumont’s century, her 10th in ODIs, took her past Nat Sciver-Brunt and Charlotte Edwards to become England’s leading century-maker. Globally she stands right behind Meg Lanning, who scored 15 hundred, and Suzie Bates, who scored 13 hundred. Even when back spasms occurred at the middle of an inning, Beaumont said her focus is to have fun and not simply to shut those who doubted her down.
Freya Kemp who waspart of the England Women vs Ireland Women series to get back into the groove after a poor Hundred tournament turned in a splendid performance with a 47-ball 65 and two wickets for seven. Lauren Filer and new comer Georgia Davis also equally contributed for England as they bundled out Ireland nicely.
